Current CBO roster

The Telecommunications Education and Assistance in Multiple-languages (TEAM) Program is a consortium of 30 organizations that are trained to provide education and assistance to telecommunications consumers in their primary languages. TEAM is funded by the California Public Utilities Commission to provide in-language education and assistance to California consumers who speak languages other than English. The project provides outreach to communities throughout California to inform them of available services; educational workshops in various languages to provide information about how to avoid telephone fraud and better understand telecommunications services; and complaint resolution services to assist consumers with solving billing and telephone issues with their phone companies.

The TEAM program focuses on limited English proficient consumers who are at a disadvantage when trying to resolve billing issues with their phone companies. The program seeks to assist consumers when problems exist, and provide education to help consumers avoid problems in the future.

Educational workshops are provided at various community organizations, schools, and community centers throughout the state of California.
